Lots of exciting things are happening behind the scenes, and I wanted to keep you all in the loop as we move closer to getting your decks into your hands:
We’re on track to kick off production as soon as Monday. At this pace, fulfillment is looking like it will happen at least 4 weeks earlier than scheduled—a huge win! To make it all work, I’ll be adjusting the box design slightly to fit the extra cards we’ve added (more on those below). I’ll be working on those updates through the weekend to keep us moving forward.
The printer let me know we can add up to five more cards, so I’m taking advantage of that and sneaking in some bonus variations. These will include some art and subtitle options I’d been debating over, and I’m keeping the final picks a surprise for now.
That means in total, you’ll be getting:
That’s 11 extra cards in total—because this deck deserves a little extra monster magic.
To make your edition even more special, we’re splitting the edging into two limited variants:
The Kickstarted Edition will feature the classic Mauve edging (attached above).
The rest will feature a Dark Mauve edging (attached below).
Kickstarter backers will get first dibs on the Dark Mauve edition at the Kickstarter rate when pledge surveys go out, so if you want to add one, you’ll have the opportunity before fulfillment begins.
For perspective: once the campaign closes, the MSRP for the Mental Monsters Tarot will be $69, which is $10–15 more than what you’re getting it for here on Kickstarter. Your pledge not only locks in the lowest price but also secures all of the Kickstarter-exclusive extras.
Everything is running smoothly, and I’m thrilled with how much the project has elevated since launch. Between the early fulfillment timeline, surprise extras, and these upgrades, this deck is shaping up to be something truly special.
